A true appreciator of music recognizes that music does not stay the same and is an ever developing medium. Those very bands you listed would have been held? by past generations as garbage yet you would argue fervently that it's great music, would you not? You don't have to like or appreciate everything out there. If you don't like it, act your age and then just move on to something else. Too easy.
