He just tied the leaders at -9 with a great eagle at #15. So he was in a very similar situation as Jack in 1986. Unfortunately, as much a nice guy and talented golfer as he is, he is no Jack Nicklaus. His pushed tee shot resulted in a bogey. If he had done what Jack did, he would be in a playoff and possibly win the whole thing. I wish him better luck next time.

Actually I was thinking? about Jack Nicklaus' shot in this year's Masters at the 16th, when Matt Kuchar stepped on the tee. He just tied the leaders at -9 with a great eagle at #15. So he was in a very similar situation as Jack in 1986. Unfortunately, as much a nice guy and talented golfer as he is, he is no Jack Nicklaus. His pushed tee shot resulted in a bogey. If he had done what Jack did, he would be in a playoff and possibly win the whole thing. I wish him better luck next time.
