Go big, but not? too big. I would sugest to anyone, an XDM. The 9mm has 19+1 capacity and is very comfortable. Springfield got a lot of critical acclaim for the XDM series. Bipods, on the other hand, react? differently whether they are on grass or concrete - the shock of the rifle firing is absorbed in the grass and the bipods have a tendency to bounce on concrete. You'd get to know your pistol very well when you've fired it around 300 rds. with much dry fire practice at home. Practice doing? a dry fire so that when you get to the range, all you have to do is put what you've practiced into action. With dry fire, you can also practice with trigger pulling.
