This is amazing. Willie, The guy is shooting an AR-50 (yes .50) Watch the dust when he fires. The target, a 1" steel plate was 100 yards away. You can hear the ping of the hit, then the bullet comes back and hits him in the head. He's lucky it hit the dirt first. He is okay, and obviously very lucky. The bullet grazed his temple.

Most ranges have soft cover cases for rent if you show up with out cases. If you still don't have any cases call the range ahead of time and ask them if they require cases or if they rent cases. Most places i have seen them for rent is 50 cents. Hope? this helps. Stay safe

check your local range rules, most ranges require anyone under 18 to have a parent or guardian?

fairly? new to the gun range and this video was a great small introduction into range etiquette. thanks for sharing.
By: TheNSSF. on 23 Sep 11, 12:59:23
It will depend on the range, but many require guns to be cased until? at the firing line. A nice soft case is a great way to transport your guns to the range.
By: BurrBrick. on 23 Sep 11, 06:37:45
just wondering I had some rifles passed down to me.. .22 and a M1 carbine I don't have? bags for them but is it forwned upon just to show up with the rifles with no cover?

This is a? great refrersher course, thanks and please delete the individuals who state otherwise. THERE IS NO ROOM for complacency in firearms handling or firearm safety.
By: VikingII. on 04 Jun 11, 15:37:04
That is ridonkulously lame. I like rapid fire shooting, sprinting and shooting using cover, walking strafing, all kinds of shit, I am going to go to a 'regular' range on a regular basis, and it's going to be lame probably, but I don't? have access to my badass rage all the time.
By: Rezxer. on 30 May 11, 11:30:26
This is a very helpful video, especially when it actually gives a demonstration of going? to the range itself. I'm very new to gun ownership and the only experience I've had at a range was when I went there with an NRA instructor, but the place was completely empty and I had a very custom experience rather than the standard, so I'm still unsure of how exactly to approach this. Anyway, thank you for the video!

Although I've done time with an M16A1 in the military 1983 to 1992 I'm a complete virgin when it comes to hand guns/pistols beyond the BB & Soft air gun type but am wanting to get into it as a fun sport and may turn into a collector but am wanting to? learn safety first. I found this video very inspirational..
By: Commrcldiver. on 24 Mar 11, 14:01:55
Great video. Very helpful for the beginner shooter. Also good for the experianced shooter to remind? them of the right way to act at the range. A+++

You are ignorant about? how many ranges, other than the one you have been to, operate. After you have been to a competition or even a Parks Dept. outdoor range, shut up. Unless you have a Concealed Carry Permit, you bring guns to the range UNLOADED. Even then, if you bring guns in addition to your carry piece, they should be unloaded. Guns are only loaded at the firing station. There is no such thing as too much safety, We are teaching good habits to beginners.
By: Mykk300. on 08 Mar 11, 05:23:13
as a competitive rifle and pistol shooter I find your comment hilarious, your ignorance astounds me. If you shoot outdoors or at any range without booths and/or target carriers ceasefires are a fact of life. You can't change targets or go downrange. Also they do mention flying brass at about 7:30. The ejection port open rule is a great rule too as the only death that I know of in competitive target shooting was due to a kid leaving the line with a closed bolt on? his rifle.
By: ElzettaDesign. on 08 Mar 11, 01:43:42
Excellent video. This? is an excellent teaching aid for new shooters.
By: MrAmbrister. on 08 Mar 11, 01:27:35
Oh lord.......that kind of common sense thinking is what got us here? in the first place!!! Stop being so rational and logical!!! They can't AAAAAAALLLLLL be safe.........I'd lose my mind!!!
By: crapper1. on 02 Mar 11, 11:29:11
guns are the most fun tools and the most deadly but this should be shown to anyone who wants to shoot for the? first time at any range
