By: kght222. on 25 May 12, 02:20:01 maybe it is just because i have only played the guest pass version of d3, but i didn't? feel that you needed much power to run it. i only have a gt430 and an athlon 2 630 oced to 3ghz and i run the guest pass version at nearly max settings with a very stable and nice framerate. when i finally go up to a gtx550 i expect max settings with no problems at all. but my experience with it is likely because it is essentially the demo. but the game just didn't seem very demanding. If you have to build now I'd recommend the Phenom II 960t. You're going to get better single threaded performance and unless you're running linux or BSD, better overall performance.
