Dan...? or Beck? I cant tell...
By: darraghcman. on 13 May 12, 13:36:15
I can see where you're coming? from but still can't agree. Possibly the Meg songs as they're pure shite. He was just putting a new sound on rock/punk/blues and he did it well. As for the Black Keys, pure blues and rock and they're excellent at it.

Yeah, The White Stripes began in 1998, possibly before that if you see how similar that project was to The Upholsterers. This comment wasn't about who I like better, it's about saying The White Stripes are childish, which is? a GOOD thing! When Jack White started The White Stripes he WANTED the band to seem childish. In that way, it would had the ability to create something many other bands can't.

The White Stripes were around for more than 4 years before the Black Keys. Well done. And I wouldn't say playing what you want and how you want while pushing the boundaries of rock and blues is childish. 2, 3 or 4 piece bands doesn't matter, judge them for? what they are. Dan Auerbeck is a class act but I have to say no one can match JW.

Right on... this song? is special to me for some reason. It shouldn't be as I sing & dance alone to it, but you can't help what gives you the "good" goose-bumps. I've tried but TWS, The Dead Weather, Raconteurs(now Jack White solo :) & TBK are VERY special bands. They are the future of our music generation... don't be afraid to send your music to your friends, this is serious!! Blunderbuss is an amazing album, worth every cent.

I have to disagree, I am more envious of Dan's beard than? his guitar playing or singing, and I love my beard
By: okamasphere. on 21 Apr 12, 01:55:29
@BigAndo21 ? he doesn't have the black eye circles here... its obvious.
By: BigAndo21. on 20 Apr 12, 23:52:04
Dan's eyes look the same here as they do now. Drummer's name is? Patrick.
By: BigAndo21. on 20 Apr 12, 23:50:22
Why are you comparing the first two White Stripes? albums to The Black Keys most recent two albums? Why compare them at all? I thought people got over this forever ago.
By: okamasphere. on 20 Apr 12, 03:40:57
Before? Dan had heroin eyes, and before the drummer was fat. I guess the fame and money brought booze and drugs along with it.
By: MrBobcatswim200. on 19 Apr 12, 03:18:47
the awkward moment when some random person walks in on you headbanging to this. Actually not awkward at all,? he'd probably do the same
By: lithium2370. on 04 Apr 12, 01:54:58
i thought the? same thing
By: fezinity. on 31 Mar 12, 10:56:41
The White Stripes were, after all is said and done, Meg White on drums and Jack White on five other instruments. Jack is an amazing musician; innovative and whatnot. He accounts for? much more than half of the Stripes, which is why I don't think that the Keys and the Stripes are on the same level, or even the same scale. The Keys are a tighter band than the Stripes (in which Jack brings the thunder and Meg just sprinkles down the rain).
By: 96thTear. on 27 Mar 12, 02:08:19
Dan looks (and? definitely sounds) a bit like Neil Young and Kurt Cobain here... Awesome.
By: elhelterskelter. on 22 Mar 12, 05:29:12
Dave? Grohl and Kurt Cobain...
By: meatvision22. on 22 Feb 12, 03:39:55
Though I agree that the white stripes and the black keys are completely different sounding, there is nothing wrong with comparing them. They are in the same genre, it's only natural. I love them both, but completely objectively speaking, jack is a better musician. Dan is great, but their live performances are a little lack luster compared to the stripes. Jack is more innovative and his songwriting is better. If you like the black keys better thats fine but everything else i? said still holds true
By: NintendoSinceBirth1. on 20 Feb 12, 18:35:09
yeah i think thats why they became more popular, the last two albums were a little better for people who dont normally listen to blues rock? like alternative or pop fans
By: wurlitzer78. on 16 Feb 12, 01:07:30
like i? said el camino and brothers are not. my comment had nothing to do with the first five albums dickhead
By: Goonthurr. on 15 Feb 12, 15:03:49
You realize they have made? 5 albums before the 2 you mentioned?
By: wurlitzer78. on 08 Feb 12, 18:09:03
the first two white? stripes albums are extremely raw. el camino and the album "brothers" is not
By: wurlitzer78. on 08 Feb 12, 18:06:00
why? moby? licks balls
By: wurlitzer78. on 08 Feb 12, 18:05:37
shut the fuck up the albums sound great? asshead
By: HideYourKids100. on 06 Feb 12, 20:41:12
I really wish Patrick Carney could drum like this on the albums. He's so weak and quiet when? they're recording.
