No matter what? someone may think of the film in general, I have to say that for me, Jamie Bell was simply brilliant. I loved his interpretation of Esca and I loved the fact that it wasn't good Romans vs bad barbarians or the other way around. There was depth as far as warfare and politics are concerned. Too bad Channing Tatum left me completely unimpressed.

The film was good I liked the grittiness of it, but I was lacking in actuall warfare there's? one minor battle scene through the whole film. The rest is them running to the eagle and then away. That and the heavy American accents really spoiled the suspension of disbelief
