It's also importnat to understand that any object moving in a circle has to have a force toward the center of that circle and the friction force therefor is the one that is providing the force to keep the car going in? a circle. When the car wheels turn, they push against the road and the road reacts by pushing back. This force is the friction of the road and it is toward the middle of the circle. It doesn't directly say that inertia is a force in its own right which acts on objects, though it clearly does, and no one dears to ask where that force comes from. I.e when you try to angularly accelerate a big wheel, you will feel an powerful resistance to your force, what is pushing against you? If there? was only one pulling force, motion of the ball inward should have followed, but clearly another force is balancing that centripetal force.
