Its finally here! Just received this one on Tuesday. A limited edition model of only 1100 - I was quite lucky to get one. There are other Silver painted ones available from train packs (Silver Fox, Silver King, and Quicksilver) but Silver Link was perhaps the most special - it was the very first A4. A beautiful model.

The last US WWI vet died about a year? ago.
By: SatchmoSings. on 17 May 12, 03:14:24
That's a good point, however I'd like you to SHOW ME where the general populace of all or at least ANY of the 11 states of the confederacy held referendums on such an important matter.?
By: ArtemisFunk. on 17 May 12, 02:39:58
they weren't wrong about secession, every state had and has the right to leave? any union it voluntarily joined, whenever it's people see fit

Wow! Thats amasing!?
By: TheGraphitte. on 09 May 12, 15:58:44
Here is the quote, maybe you can't read Yes, this was the? worst America has ever seen, but not on the scale of? Europe's losses in WW1 and 2... TheGraphitte 2 weeks ago
By: SatchmoSings. on 08 May 12, 15:57:03
You didn't say that;? I went back and looked; try again.
By: TheGraphitte. on 08 May 12, 15:29:07
You need to? read carefully, I said "2" World Wars... Look at France' loss in the 1st World War...
By: TheDoLeMike1977. on 02 May 12, 21:47:38
When has Europe ever done anything like that for us? When would? they ever? Time to leave NATO and the UN.
By: TheDoLeMike1977. on 02 May 12, 21:47:11
But? Europe owes America over 100,000 sons for WW1 and over 400,000 for WW2. Nuf said.
By: TheDoLeMike1977. on 02 May 12, 19:37:16
This is true, but the American War between the States still remains? our most devistating conflict to date. If you were to add the death toll from all the other wars the US has fought combined it still wouldn't surpass the loss of life that resulted from this war. It wiped out nearly 3-5% of the US population at the time.
By: SatchmoSings. on 02 May 12, 16:04:00
France didn't lose 4,000,000 people during WWII; their military surrendered in about a month;? French civilian deaths were, at most, 250,000; you're crazy. Google "FRANCE: French civilians killed by Allied bombings in World War II" It also gives the TOTAL of all French civilian deaths in WWII.
By: TheGraphitte. on 02 May 12, 14:52:52
France lost Civilians, American? did not.... Nuf said...
By: TheGraphitte. on 02 May 12, 14:51:24
Both World Wars cost Europe millions of men. Dwarfing the Civil War by a huge amount. Check out the losses of the UK and France in the First World War... Take a look? at Russia's losses as well as Germanys...
By: SatchmoSings. on 01 May 12, 17:46:15
I find it laughable that you list France with four million dead in WWII because France? SURRENDERED to Germany after like five weeks of fighting!!!
By: SatchmoSings. on 01 May 12, 17:45:16
More Americans died in the US? Civil War than did in WWI and WWII combined.
By: TheGraphitte. on 01 May 12, 16:47:07
Yes, more Americans, but? not foreigners... Germany lost over 4 million men in WW2... France close to the same, Japan etc etc...
By: SatchmoSings. on 28 Apr 12, 13:04:39
You make a good point; a friend of mine who was a history teacher (and a Korean-era vet) always claimed that the Civil War was an unnecessary tragedy. "Harry"? claimed that The South was wrong about EVERYTHING, slavery, the tariff and succession but as wrong as the South was it wasn't worth killing 660,000 and maiming MILLIONS more to "prove" this. All this from an honorably discharged veteran who was a pacifist and the point you raised about WWII is a very obvious and important one . . .
By: SatchmoSings. on 28 Apr 12, 12:59:54
Actually more Americans? died in the Civil War than did in the two World Wars combined and it was over a shorter period.
By: MrRichardbryan. on 26 Apr 12, 01:04:37
Took care of a 102 year old patient the other day. He told me as a boy he would sit on the front? porch with his grandfather and his grandfathers friends and listen to them tell their Civil War stories Wonder if there is more of this film stashed away in a Archive vault ?
By: NoBrakesMr. on 25 Apr 12, 00:10:32
It's so strange the young service men who helped those civil war veterans are now the old ones usually? needing help getting around by us the young ones who in years to come will need help from the youth of a future generation.
By: TheGraphitte. on 24 Apr 12, 21:21:02
As a great grandson of a Confederate soldier, I am glad that they? did not win the war. I think that Slavery would have ended anyway just like it did in Central and South America. The problem would have been during World War 2 with America divided into 2 countries. Japan and Germany would see us as easy pickings.
By: TheGraphitte. on 24 Apr 12, 21:00:32
Yes, this was the worst? America has ever seen, but not on the scale of Europe's losses in WW1 and 2...
By: MegaShamby. on 21 Apr 12, 12:13:26
what about First and Second World War man? This Was the bloodiest war on american? territory.
By: bsisneroz. on 19 Apr 12, 01:34:39
With over 600,000? casualties from both sides, I would say this was the bloodiest war ever.
By: TheConfederate1863. on 18 Apr 12, 14:31:42
It? was a horrible war, i agree, but "one of the most bloodiest wars in the world" you must have been joking?
