Trying to keep my head down by burying my chin into my chest during address will most likely result in a fat shot or a swing? adjustment that comes from the outside and across striking cleanly, but on the toe of the face. When I keep my chin in a natural position (fist distance between chin and chest) which puts my neck comfortably aligned with my spin resulting more often than not a ball first strike on plan and right on the sweet spot.

Mike, with all due respect, I would believe that the change in spine angle would result in tops and thin shots. One of the possibilities is the changing relationship between the right arm and the golf club (losing "the angle") that? makes you hit fat shots. The other would be moving your mass behind the ball and not returning it.
