If you don't have a release, all it does it throw you over the top and you're guilty of holding onto the club too long. The drill isolates the? pure motion of the hands and arms in the golf swing without any other part of the body being involved. What most people don't understand is that by releasing the hands...and particularly snapping the left hand faster....it actually creates more clubhead speed. When the hands are traveling more than 100 miles an hour increased lag is achieved by firing your left hand faster. I have to learn to release the golf club first to the point of snap hooking? it.
