If you take it apart, look for blown fuses first. Chances are the fuses on your power board will be ok if you are? getting any power at all. So test those first to be sure and then all the rest. If they are all ok then look for obvious burn or hot spots or even get close enough and you may smell it. Also look for blown-burst capacitors. I appreciate the offer but I don't have any use for the board other than removing all of the components for some future use on another project. You can usually tell if a cap. has gone bad because it will be swollen on the top or fat around the sides. I've done quite a few of these repairs (esp. on the cheap walmart brand LCD'd) but I usually just replace the specific component that fried for a dollar or two instead of the entire power supply. One more thing to note: Do Not Touch the underside of the capacitors (the cylindrical components) or you'll receive a really nice shock!
