I made a mount which is bolted to the left hand side of the engine. Although mounted in a good position, I think the mount picks up some vibration from the engine, but does show the front suspension working nicely. By: markjrobbins. on 01 Jan 12, 23:20:04 Hi Phil, it is not necessary to remap following the intake modification in that you will not damage your engine. However, as you probably know it is not necessary to remap after fitting a Blueflame exhaust either, but you notice an improvement by doing it. Your engine will be able to intake? more air, so remapping could make the most from it. I would do it, but it is not necessary. Hope this helps. Mark, In June ... If, as you advise, I now modify the rubber inlet tube within the airbox and add a K & N Filter, will it be necessaary or adviseable? to have the Power Commander remapped? If? you wanted a few more hp, you could run TOR or Arrow Street maps if you wanted even with stock exhaust. Only time I would recommend re-map is if you run an open exhaust and or remove the cat. If you look at the air / fuel graph (bottom one) most modern bikes keep to about 14 (quite lean) which is what it was doing before decat (red line). After decat (blue line) drops below 14 after 5,000 rpm to nearly 13 at 9,000 rpm. I just need to make it bit richer before 5,000 rpm now. Next mod is put Arrow Race ECU map - should make it bit more rich everywhere. If I don't like it or too rich its easy? to put it back and try something else. Sadly should have been completely stock but we start with modified intake and Arrow SL exhaust with corresponding ECU map from Triumph. Result was 111.95 BHP at the rear wheel.
