Also, prolonged listening past 90db (about as loud as a lawnmower or leaf blower) can destroy your hearing, so there isn't much reason to put the volume past that, unless you just don't care. Also, getting a mixer saves you much hassle. Right now my PC volume is set to 100% so that it can't do anything stupid.
