Feb. 20, 2012. This is the end of the last song of their set; they were opening for George Porter Jr. & The Runnin' Pardners. It was one of many free Mardi Gras shows the club was having this week. The bass was very deep/loud, and my camera's microphone did not really pick it up, probably because the levels were overwhelming it.
She only played for about half an hour since she was getting over the flu, but was quite energetic and chatty. A convo with the crowd ensued, right after she asked "Questions?"...
Right after this show, I drove down to Frenchmen Street and saw Tarik Hassan (see a clip of it under my other videos.)
Filmed by me, mainly to show their great light show, but of course they didn't really unleash it during this part of the song... Opening acts were Tamaryn and Twin Killers.
It was one of their first-ever shows, opening for Broken Water. They are a duo featuring Osa (ex-New Bloods) on vocals & bass, and Candice (ex-Necro Hippies) on drums & backing vocals. Filmed by me, upstairs at the Fair Grinds.
It was 95º that day. Again, sorry for the bad quality, but it captures an interesting moment in time, and the sunlight-induced distortions make it kinda psychedelic, right?
This crazy little dog from up the street used to come over and play with me a lot, but I think her owners keep her inside now, unfortunately. The distortion noise was caused by the wind, as that camera had a terrible built-in mic, sorry.
