The plane has a molded fiberglass fuselage and built up balsa wings. It flew very well and only needed minor adjustments. Not bad for a scratch-built plane ! Flew awesome, no problems taking off at all, and solid in the air, stall speed was also low, used to fly it along side my boat, could have reached out and grabbed it. I saw no? need for a bigger wing on mine, also it handled wind well, except landing sucked with waved due to lame wing tip float design. Oh.. and I also had to seal the aileron hinges, they fluttered at speed. I'm trying to recall total weight, I think it was around six pounds... ? Poor flying? These ... By: BeulahLips. on 03 Apr 12, 19:51:59 Poor flying? These fly awesome, smooth and arrow straight, like a pattern plane. There were two problems I noted with mine: 1. Solid tail too heavy, requiring a lot of nose weight. I used a built up tail, but as much radio equipment as far foward as possible, and don't recall using any lead. 2. Wing floats get caught in waves and ripped off, needs total redesign so they're a pillar up? the the wing, like the Volmer. Where do you have ...
