Don't mix up the actions of Amnesty International with the actions of the United States. A.I. is a Non-Governmental-Organization that does everything it can to stop human rights violations. This is not about international interventions, it's about information. I suppose you're from Sudan. Would you like it better if we just looked away and didn't care at all? After all I think? supporting Amnesty International is the best we can do.

I get where're you're coming from with your argument,? but they're just trying to help. I don't think they see you as "barbaric". amnesty helps everywhere, so not just in Africa. i think they "simplify" the situation when they are explaining it to other people so those people have at least a bit of an understanding what's going on.

Those who are in Guantanamo were armed with guns, and were shooting them. One must not? compare that with innocent children and their families who were bombed in their own villages.

Not an angel? Neither are those? who don't get furious because innocent when innocent civilians are bombed. If it wasn't for Amnesty International's work, the situation in Darfur would not have changed to even this little bit. Just go to images.google.com, and search for "Bir Kedouas before after". You will see why intervention by the international community IS necessary. It is not fair correct to compare those in Guantanamo with the civilians.

Because these people over simplify the politics of the region. They want to meddle? in everything. He will go there, then come back and call for 'international intervention' to save the people of Sudan, cause u know they're 'Africans' they're just barbaric someone has to save them from themselves. All we end up getting is sanctions if not bombed. The last time this happened the US ended up bombing the only malaria medicine factory in Sudan. Just stay away, protest Guantanamo or something!
