Hey the DR-100 and ... By: SirNoobs. on 10 Sep 11, 12:01:05 Hey the DR-100 and DR-90 are similar. I believe instead of a laminated spruce top like the DR-90, the DR-100's is a select spruce top (IMO, it's bullshit to get you to pay more). The DR-90T is also the same but they want you to pay for the tuner that's inside the guitar.
The AJ-100 is the? most different because of its size. The AJ100 is a jumbo guitar therefore it should produce more resonance. IMO, you should get the DR-90 to save some money or maybe go for the AJ100 for sound.

I picked up this guitar pack for $130 CANADIAN to use and bang around for heading down to the river with the dog, or busking on the weekend. Let me say that for the price this is a great guitar, and for a beginner it includes a gig bag, strap, tuner, even picks...its a GREAT deal.

You can pay someone ... By: SirNoobs. on 23 Jul 10, 20:59:16 You can pay someone at the store? to do it, it'll probably run you 5 dollars (US dollars by the way)? If you know someone who plays guitar, you should have them show you for free. 5 bucks is almost the price of a regular pack of strings.
The best strings cost $9-$13 and generally they last longer than the cheaper ones. Brands include Elixir and Cleartone. I honestly don't care and just go for the $5-$7 ones like D'Addario, Martin, or Dean Markely.

Anyways, when you get the guitar, you should? get some new strings. Ask around in the music store. Some good brands are D'Addario, Martin, and Dean Markley.

As for brands, I'm not sure, you should do your own? experimenting. They all vary from tone and how well they tune. I've always used Martin brand strings.
