Omg subscribers, viewers, ANYONE. Please help me solve this never before seen issue on my Sony Vegas Pro 10. This is only a snippet of the pixelation problem occuring on my rendered and previewed video clips. Extremely frustrating. My properties are set to HDV 720-30p (1280x720, 29.970 fps). is this the source of the problem? Please anyone with a suggestion, comment below. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!

Hey! I am having this issue again with my Sony Vegas and I noticed that it looks fine while on? the video track but once I render it, the pixelation starts. Also it's only in places where I put transitions! So weird. I checked this videos properties and its an mp4, frame width 720, frame height 304. Did you say the problem is in the rendering format?

I'm hoping it will? do the trick. It narrows down the suspects at least. Let me know how it turns out. After you save it to your computer, make sure to play it before putting it on to Sony Vegas to check and see if the video is good. If youtube had a problem converting it, the issue has to be the video itself. Let me know if you still have issues. (crossing fingers)

So I downloaded this faulty? video to youtube, if I save it to my computer and put it into Sony Vegas it will be without the glitches?

Created a video to help you find the info I need, I'll send the link. Anyways, I'm starting to think that maybe it's the? file since you say it looks bad in preview. There's a workaround. Try uploading the bad video file to youtube as private. After it's processed, download the video back to your computer. It will be converted to MP4 format. Try the NEW file in Vegas. I do this trick for some files that vegas can't use. Worse that can happen is an error uploading to youtube.

Regarding the problematic videos: 1. Right click the video file outside of sony vegas and select "PROPERTIES" look under the "GENERAL" tab and let me know what the "TYPE OF FILE" is. (example: mp4, wmv, divx) 2. Next, with that window still open, click the "DETAILS" tab and let me know what the "FRAME WIDTH" and "FRAME HEIGHT" is. ? 3. Is your Sony Vegas up to date? I'm currently running Sony Vegas 10.0c (Build 470) Gonna figure this out. I love troubleshooting.

I use Sony Vegas Pro 10 and I'm not quite sure what size these clips are but I stretched them in the properties settings so that it would fit this youtube screen. So whatever size that is. But I will definitely try out your suggestions, this whole size? thing is very confusing to me! But it was weird how only certain clips did this. Other clips work fine on here.

If it looks? fine in vegas, then the problem is with what type you are rendering with. If it looks bad in vegas, try the "match media settings" button in properties.

I was searching for a way to smooth out pixelation for low quality video and came across your dilemma. First of all, is your stock footage 1280x720? If NO, then you will get pixelation. For example 640x360 stretched to 1280x720 when you render. If footage is 1280 then try rendering with Sony AVC (type: Sony AVC Template: Internet 720-30p)? this works great for for me for YouTube. Try the other templates depending on your needs. Sony AVC type seems the way to go. Hope it works for you
