Orange Gun

This is my orange gun. It is made out of PVC pipe and has a spark plug to ignite the fuel, which is hairspray. I estimate that the orange can travel at least 500m horizontally and about 300m vertically. Oranges also work better than potatoes, they just need to be the right size. There will be more :)

Dehydration of Sucrose (sugar)

This is the dehydration of Sucrose (sugar)(C12H22O11), it is triggered by concentrated sulfuric acid and i exothermic (heat is released). The vapor is water vapor (H2O) + some sulfur dioxide (SO2). The black substance is pure carbon left over after dehydration.
